For the same reason people think that “people think all Indians smell like curry ……..”.
I see the same thing in Indian girls/women that I see in all other women. A woman.
I am an Indian girl and I dont smell like curry or wear a dot on my forehead. I wear and smell like perfume every single day and i only wear a dot [not always red, but sparkely and different colored] when I go to family gatherings and religous ceremonies. Most elderly women in India wear the maroon red dot on their forehead because they want everyone to know that they have a very strong belief in God. So I just cant stand it when people judge a person from my culture because we do live in modern ways.
