Where can I buy Panang Curry paste in San Diego?
I looked up some recipes and some call for Panang Curry paste. I don’t have time to make the paste myself, so is there somewhere I can buy it?

I don’t live in San Diego, but you may just be able to find it in a large grocery store, because it’s a fairly common ingredient. If that doesn’t work, try a Chinese grocery store – even though it’s not a specifically Chinese ingredient, they tend to carry a variety of curry pastes. The brand I like is called Mae Ploy, and it comes in a pinkish tub. If you can’t find it anywhere (but I’m sure that you will be in a place like San Diego), you can buy it online from amazon.com, although it’s more expensive than it would be at a store.
