limre in hindi……………………….don’t know in english

“kari”. That’s where the word “curry” supposedly comes from!

I have heard also refered to as “Curry Mene” as far as growing it at home, I see no problem, it resembles a small bayleaf is darker green, has multiple leaves to the branch, and I have found it most larger center, in in the Oriental market, being from Canada, I go to Toronto were there is a large Asian community, and saw some just last week there, you also can find the dried, that might be you best bet, as far as growing them, you would have to find a Oriental store that stocks vegetable seed, they sell one for bok choy and other seeds, so that might have them too.

Here is a picture of the kari-patta.

In hindi, it is called “curry patta”, or “meeti neem”…

The botanical name is “Murraya koenigii Spreng”, but I dont know the vernacular english name.

It is called

Murraya koenigii (botanical name)
Curry Leaf (english)
Kari patta (hindi)

Here is a picture and a place that u can buy it from !
