you can try them, and also you might want more than 1 clove of garlic; garlic is good for ya!
I like carrots in a curry, and some regular potato to add to the sweet potato would also be nice. The carrots add color and a bit of sweetness (which you do have with the sweet potato) as well as a nice texture if you don’t cook them too long. The regular potato is a great vehicle for the curry flavoring, too.
You could also have carrot, turnip, parsnip. These also go well with a vegetable curry or indeed vegetable soup. It all sounds so delicious. Let me know when you are serving up and I will be there.
