It’s neither good nor bad, unless you have a tender stomach. Then it might irritate it a bit.

It is unlikely to harm you.

Well i’m indian and i eat curry a lot. but i dont eat the powder, my mom puts it in some ingrediants………

Curry in America is a term for a seasoning. Typically a certain blend of spices.
Curry Powder is definitely a blend of spices and unless you cant handle the heat and smell, there is only good the spices will do to your body.
To most indians, curry is a soup like dipping sauce generally made by tempering buttermilk with a few spices, and adding some kind of a flour generally chickpea flour. ( no curry powder)

Good for me…specially the ITC Kitchens of India one….

Curry powder is usually eaten when mixed with some other ingredient in a curry.Like you can put some vegetable or chicken or any meat and add curry powder with water to make a specific curry. That’s how almost all south asian family eat their curries.

It’s not bad for you but you should keep it light in proportion.Otherwise it will make the curry too spicy and we all know how good (!!!!) spicy food are for our stomach.

I recently saw an article where one curry meal a week was recommended as a possible preventative for I think Alzheimer’s, but I could be wrong about the actual disease – so yes, curry powder is good for you. Of course since it is a blend you should make sure that what you are using is not laden with salt or other sodium products.

I think Trinidad has it’s own type of curry and it’s not Indian. I know Jamaica does.
