I am looking for a recipe called masaman curry?



I have had this chicken dish several times at my fav thai restaurant. Can anyone give me a good recipe?

Masaman Chicken Curry

Ingredients:
1 litre coconut cream
1 kg chicken pieces
3 potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 onion, halved
125 g peanuts
10 ml salt
45 ml masaman curry paste
45 ml fish sauce
15 ml tamarind juice
15 ml sugar

Instructions:

1. Bring the coconut cream to a boil in a large saucepan.
2. Add the chicken, potatoes, onion, peanuts and salt, and simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Remove a ladleful of coconut cream from the pan, and pour it into a frying pan. Add the masaman curry paste. Stir until the mixture thickens.
4. Pour the curry over the chicken. Add the fish sauce, tamarind juice and sugar and stir well. Simmer for a further 15 minutes.
5. Serve with plain rice or bread. Cucumber sauce is also a popular accompaniment.

This is a jazzed up recipe. See link. Really all you need is the chicken, onions, potatoes, coconut milk and masaman curry paste and it will taste great.

Masaman Curry Chicken

This is a wonderful Thai curry dish. You can get Masaman curry paste at most Asian markets.

Ingredients:

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch chunks
1/2 cup cashews, toasted and chopped
3 cups light coconut milk
1-2 tablespoon masaman curry paste
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
5 tablespoons tamarind juice
cilantro(to garnish)
avocados, chunks(to garnish)

Directions
1 Place a pot over medium high heat, add oil and curry paste.
2. Stir until the oil begins to separate out then add the coconut milk, chicken and potatoes.
3. Cook until chicken is done and potatoes are tender then add sugar, soy sauce, tamarind juice and toasted cashews.
4. Garnish with cilantro and avocado.
5. Serve with Nan bread and rice if desired.
