How to get rid of curry and incense smell in an apartment?
The apartment that we want to rent was previously occupied by Indians and the house has a very strong smell of curry and incense. What would be the quickest way to get rid of that smell??

baking soda
I use Febreze fabic spray. Clean the carpets and drape. Open the windows and air the apartment. Hope this helps.
Probably to find another place
U could try an exorcist…
But seriously, renting a steam cleaner would probably do the trick, they get rid of smells pretty well if u clean thoroughly.
Good luck
First of all the Most Natural Way to get rid of the Smell is to Leave the Doors and Windows Open for the Fresh air. It may not get you fast Results but Effective. Now the Unnatural way, You Could Have bowels of Hot Water added with 1-2 Spoons of Vinegar. Change the Water every 2-3 Hours. You can Keep in the Kitchen or Closed Cabinets. Use Air Fresheners which would Neutralize the Smell. You could Also Use Floral Scented Floor Cleaners..
Your going to have to trrust me on this. Been doing this make ready cleans for years. You will spent money on products htat don’t work. The only thing that might work is a itomizer that carpet companies lease. YOu let it run for about 24 hours. That curry gets into the paint and carpet, cabs, just everything. Just ask an apt. manager about it. They know it is hard to get out if not imposssible.
if theres carpet on the floor..get rid of that
It’s all about th ecooking oils etc so **Degrease** using some industrial degreaser, using ammonia for painted surfaces and lye for the oven. That, plus a fair amount of light and air, will tame the problem pretty well.
Make sure to get out of site places like in and around oven well, light fixtures and inside cabinets.
Clean carpets using some vinegar in the rinse too.
Clean all walls, floors and ceilings using vinegar and water solution. In our state the landlord can not rent without repainting first which gets rid of such Oder’s.
