How do you make chip shop style curry sauce?
I Love chips n’ curry now and then from the chippy, so I was thinking, is there anyway to make the curry sauce myself? I know I can buy curry powder and add boiling water but does anyone know an actual recipe?

Do what you have been doing with the curry powder and water, but thicken it up with cornflour which gives it the chip shop thickness.
Then add waht you want (onions, peppers etc).
this one?
Fish and Chip Shop Curry Sauce
1 onion
1 apple, peeled
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons flour
20 ounces water
1 tablespoon tomato puree or tomato paste
pepper
lemon juice
Chop the onion and apple and fry with the curry powder in the oil until tender.
Stir in the flour, cook for 2 minutes and then remove from the heat and add the water, tomato purée, pepper and lemon juice to taste.
Simmer for 15 minutes.
Store refrigerated.
