How do I prepare boxed curry?
I’m thinking of picking up some boxed curry (Vermont Brand, most likely, because thats the only brand I know the store has)
It comes in little blocks, and I was wondering how I turn dry blocks of spice into yummy hot creamy curry?
Thank you!
I can’t read the directions because they are all in Japanese.

look on the side of the box or the back and wala there should be directions there.
Japanese curry.. yum
I usually get Golden Curry brand by S&B. I think both are about the same…
each box comes with 2 little attached containers. Each container looks like it can be split into 4′s. I usually use 1 container per time i cook for myself and a few friends. it makes a lot…
Anyway, what you do is you sautee about 20oz chopped onions in butter, about 15 oz. ground meat, chicken, shrimp, or tofu. you can also add vegetables like peppers, carrots, potatoes. then you add 4c. water, bring it to a boil and boil until the potatoes are soft and the meat is done, app. 15 minutes.
then you just break one of the little boxes up into pieces and add. stir until dissolved – it’ll thicken as it stands.
eat with a side of rice. :9
We love the stuff, and yes there is a little two sentance blurb on how much water to add on the back of the box, its wonderful!
PS. What the hell, made it two days ago, 2 1/2 cups of water LOL
