Easy recipe for mild curry sauce?
I remember when I was a child, my mother used to make a mild curry sauce and poured it over chicken and rice. Does anyone have a recipe (I’ll be using quorn tenders instead though)
I forgot to mention that it has to be vegetarian so fish sauce is out.

Go to local store. But jar of curry sauce. Problem solved.
I use this recipe. Just adjust the amount of curry to the favor you like and substitute your quorn for the real chicken. It’s delicious!
Thai Chicken
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 3/4 teaspoons Thai green or red curry paste*
1 14-ounce can unsweetened coconut milk* whisked to blend
1 tablespoon (packed) brown sugar
2 teaspoons fish sauce (such as nam pla or nuoc nam)*
1 pound skinless boneless chicken breast halves, cut into thin strips
1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice plus wedges for garnish
Preparation
Bring 1/4 cup coconut milk and curry paste to boil in large skillet over medium-high heat, whisking constantly. Add bell pepper and onion; sauté’ 5 minutes. Stir in chicken, remaining coconut milk, sugar and fish sauce. Cook until chicken is cooked through, stirring often, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining 3 ingredients and simmer 1 minute. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Easy curry sauce =)
1 tablespoon Canola oil
½ cup onion; diced
1 Clove garlic; minced
½ tablespoon Mild curry powder
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon White pepper
1 pinch Cayenne pepper
4 tablespoon Cornstarch
2 cup Skim milk
½ teaspoon Coconut extract
Heat oil in saucepan. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring, over medium heat until translucent but not brown. Add curry powder, salt, white pepper and cayenne. Cook, stirring, 1 minute. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup milk or soy milk. Add remainder of milk or soy milk and coconut extract to pan. Add cornstarch mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sauce thickens. After sauce thickens, cook 3 more minutes. 1 gram fat per 2 tablespoons. Makes 2 cups.
You can practically find ANY type of curry sauce you like from the supermarket these days if you want something quick and easy. There are some good ones out there to =)
