Does the smell of indian curry bother you?
I’m not a fan of curry but my husband is and I find the smell and taste repulsive. Just my opinion. Its like an odour that never disappears. Hard to get rid of even when I cook it once and I’m not even indian lol
I should give it more of a chance since I do prepare and cook it for my husband but we just have different tastes in food. I don’t dislike indian food entirely just curry dishes.

I love curry! The smell makes me hungry, and it is so delightful with shrimp, but then again, that’s my opinion. It used to kill me walking home from the university, because the Indians and Hindis always cooked curried items, and it would waft through the neighbourhood.
Everyone has different tastes.
It does permeate the kitchen, though, it took a good few days to clear the scent after I made curried shrimp on basmati with saffron.
I dont really like the smell of it unless im really hungry! but it really tastes good!!
Curry is definitely something that people either love or hate. There are many types of curries, and maybe you could try a different type. There are red, yellow and green curries. The green curries seem to be a bit milder in smell to me, and I love cooking the green curry with coconut milk. Yummmm.
My hubby is a curry hater, so I understand your aversion to it.
I don’t have many opportunities to eat it where I live but when I visited England last year I did. I thought it was really good and I loved the fragrances wafting through the house. The particular curry that was used my friend brought back from South Africa and had a licorice fragrance. He made his own papadoms as well. It was a memorable meal.
I take it that all the curries are made up of several different spices. Many people make their own blends, my friend told me. He is English but travels a lot for British Airways.
No, If they made a cologne of it I would wear it everyday, Kidding. But it doesn’t bother me at all!
Hi, the curry smell doesn’t bother me at all for the contrary I’m taking cooking Indian classes and I’m so happy, this people have a great variation in their menu , and the techniques they use are very worth.

I despise the smell of curry but respect the fact that it is cultural and alot of people do enjoy it. However, my new neighbour cooks with it 3-4 times a week and it seeps through the walls. It gets so bad I can taste it. Guess it’s time to find a new place. Oh yeah, I hate curry!
