how people react to certain foods is an individual thing…your body just might be a little sensitive.
Are you sure it’s not the rice?
Uncooked rice can contain spores of the bacillus cereus bacteria that can cause food poisoning. The bacteria is not always killed by the cooking process and thus can cause food poisoning. This is especially the case if the rice left standing at room temperature – the spores develop into the bacteria, that will cause severe “runs”. NB Reheating rice will NOT get rid of this bacteria.
However, it could just be the fact that your body is highly sensitive to the spices/chili/hotness. There are quite a few curries made from cream/yoghurts – so again, you maybe slightly intolerant to these ingredients?
Ask yourself, what is in this dish that I don’t usually eat? That is probably the source of the runs. If you eat stuff with oil and onions on a regular basis, I would look at the curry.
