Curry is not Japanese food. It’s Indian.
Curry is not japanese but an indian spice which is added to local recipies.
Japanese tend to flavour their food with Soy sauce, and if hot spice is reqired than it more likely to be chilly peppers.
Be interested to how you became to understand that Curry is Japanese?
I’ve only seen curry at Thai restaurants. I don’t know where on earth you’re located at. But the Thai Boat at Morro Bay, California has really good curry.
All Asian cultures have a form of curry. My wife’s friend is Japanese, and she makes Japanese curry. That being said: I’ve still only seen curry at Thai restaurants (I don’t think I’ve been to an Indian restaurant).
Japanese, Thailand, and India have a curry, but their curry are different in term of presentation and taste as well. If you like Japanese food, you hould try sushi, teriyaki, udon (thick white noodle). ramen (yellow noodle with vegitable), tendon ( rice with meat&egg on top), yakitori (grill stick chicken) etc.
Fuji Mountain is an authentic restaurant that our friend from Japan took us to, not sure if they do curry. Good Luck.
