Curry question here. How can I fix it?
I made some curried rice to stuff rock Cornish game hens with tomorrow. The problem is that I thought the curry powder smelled really nice, so I got carried away a bit. It’s a tad too spicy for the others in this house, though fine for me….. Ingredients: turmeric, cumin, black pepper, ginger, coriander, fenugreek, garlic, celery seed, cloves, cayenne pepper, caraway seed, white pepper, mace.

just rinse the rice lightly and drain in a colainder.
You could make some plain rice and mix it in, or just go ahead and stuff the hens and serve the dish with sour cream or plain yogurt that people can dollop on the stuffing. Dairy products really cool the heat of hot peppers. The casein in the milk acts like a detergent to wash away the capsaicin (hot stuff) from the nerve receptors.
