are you a boy?
they have probably been sued sometime in the past by someone who got sick eating the powder raw. The stuff is not processed in a sterile environment, nor is it cooked, so they don’t the have kind of control they need to guarantee that no bacteria is traveling along with the spices. If you cook the spices, it will kill anything.
That being said, dry spices are generally safe to eat raw since bacteria needs a moist environment to thrive. So I wouldn’t worry about it.
