Can you have coconut milk in a curry dish when pregnant?
This may sound like a really silly question but i didnt realise it was made of nuts…ha ha….so can i have it as want to make a curry tonight. Im 6 weeks pregnant. Also should I be avoiding spicy food or is that just an idea to prevent nausea?

you should only avoid nuts if you have nut allergies in the family, i didnt know that about coconut milk either! you can eat spicy food just watch out for that dreadful indegestion! i only have to look at a chillie and it sets me off x
I always used coconut milk in curries when I was pregnant and ate quite spicy food. I didn’t ever have really hot curries though and the only nuts I avoided were peanuts.
You can use coconut milk while pregnant; spicy foods make your tummy upset and your baby may not like and make you sick. If you are not sure about what foods to eat ask your doctor for a list of foods, medications, etc you can use and eat during pregnancy. Good luck.
Why does everyone think that they need to avoid nuts? Does your doctors all tell you things mine doesnt? Be careful with spicy stuff as it might make you sick but other than that eat healthy and often to keep little one happy. Your little one may like spicy as mine does, I have wanted salsa on everything for about a month now. Eat and enjoy!
