All round curry powder recipe
Recipe ingredients
2 tablespoons black pepper
1 teaspoon ground bay leaves
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons hot chilli powder
1 teaspoon dried crushed chillies
4 teaspoons coriander
2 tablespoons cumin
2 teaspoons fenugreek
4 teaspoons garlic powder
4 teaspoons mixed herbs
1 teaspoon jamaican pepper, ground allspice
2 teaspoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
4 teaspoons turmeric
How to make all round curry powder
You will need a container which can hold around 300 ml., which can be fitted with an air-tight top. An old jam jar or bolognese sauce jar will do, however an opaque container is preferable to protect the curry powder from sunlight if you are leaving it on a shelf.
Add all the ingredients specified into the container.
Fasten the lid and shake vigorously to mix the ingredients together.
Store the curry powder somewhere, ready for when you need.
If you want to make a hotter curry powder, use the curry powder mixture as described above, but add more chilli powder when cooking.
